Mina Pharmaceutical & Cosmetics Company was one day an idea, a dream for a young, enthusiastic and hard working man named Dr. Ahmad Pakravan. When Dr. Pakravan was graduated from the University of Tehran, School of Pharmacy, in 1948 there were less than 7 pharmaceutical companies operating in Iran. Knowing well that his passion lies in building this company, he started making a solid plan of action to see it through.

One year after graduation, he joined the University’s academic staff and started to teach in the Pharmacy Department at Tehran University, soon to become a full time Professor of Pharmacy. The same year (1949), he rented a suitable place and started a small production line of two products: MinaLax and a Syrup called S.P.K.

He continued holding his position at the university in the mornings and running his small but growing company in the evening. In 1963, Dr. Pakravan was able to take a step closer to his dream. With the help of German Specialists, the current site of Mina Pharmaceutical and Cosmetics company was built.

After a team of enthusiastic and hard working staff was gathered, the work began.

This company has produced more than 40 products both in the fields of pharmaceutical & cosmetics full time. These products have mostly been original and were developed by Dr. Pakravan and his specialists in the R&D department.

This company has been privileged to work with outstanding production managers such as Dr. Maryam Partovi who has played a major role in the growth of our company. We are ever so thankful for all her efforts and hard work. We have also been fortunate to work with Dr. Bayat, Dr. Avan, Dr. Ordibehesht and many more committed doctors who have contributed to this company immensely.

It has been 52 years since the establishment of our company by Dr. Pakravan. Today, he is the head of the Board of Directors. He works just as hard and still dreams just as grand.

Dr. Pakravan’s future plans include building the most up to date, state of the art Company outside of Tehran, which will be about 10 times bigger than the current one. Using the latest technology he hopes to bring together the most innovative minds & methods into this industry and produce outstanding products.
The new site will be built within the next 5 years.

Last, but not least, we would like to salute a very important and special person who has played the most crucial role in developing, managing, and sustaining this company. Mrs. Azarmidokht Dadashazar, Dr. Pakravan’s wife has worked hand in hand with her husband and has been a major figure providing support to all the personnel, coming up with new ideas, following through with company’s goals and mission, and keeping spirits high in hard times.

Her active and positive presence has always brought peace in the face of conflict and cooperation in times of dispute.
